Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan

On September 4, 2015 in Kabul, within the framework of the Sixth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-VI) there has been held a bilateral meeting of Sirodjidin Aslov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with  Salahuddin Rabbani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

During the meeting there have been discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Taking into account the issues discussed in the agenda of the Conference, the parties highlighted the need for further action at the regional level on implementation of projects aimed at social and economic development of Afghanistan, including increase of the volume of transit trade through the implementation of projects on construction of railways and automobile roads, as well as the issues of transit of electricity to the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
