Telephone conversation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the EU Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service

On September 10, 2015, telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov and the EU Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service Ms. Helga Maria Schmidt took place by initiative of the European side.

During conversation, H. Schmidt condemned 4th Septembers armed attacks on law enforcement officers of the Republic of Tajikistan by illegal armed groups which led to the deaths of law enforcement officers of Tajikistan.

H.Shmidt expressed her condolences over the loss of life and emphasized the European Union leadership’s support for the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to detain members of illegal armed groups and stabilization of the situation in the country.

H.Shmidt expressed EU's readiness to continue close cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of security, in particular fighting against terrorism.
