Working visit of the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Russia to Yekaterinburg

On August 26, 2022, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation D. Gulmahmadzoda met with the Head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov during his visit to Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation.

The parties expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of education and training of blue-collar workers, comprehensive trade and economic cooperation, as well as in attracting tourists and cultural exchange.

The issue of allocating a land plot for the construction of a cultural Tajik center in Yekaterinburg was also discussed at the meeting.

On the same day, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia met with the President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrey Besedin.

During the meeting, important issues of developing trade and economic cooperation between the regions of Tajikistan and the Sverdlovsk region were discussed, and business circles were also invited to participate in the Tajik-Russian investment forum, which will be held in Dushanbe in September 2022.

Also during the visit Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda met with the Rector of the Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin and the rector of the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin Viktor Koksharov, during which an exchange of views took place on the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of economics in the industrial sector, as well as on the expansion of cooperation in the fields of science and education between higher educational institutions of Tajikistan and Yekaterinburg.

Also, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation, as part of a working trip to the city of Yekaterinburg in honor of the State Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with students of higher educational institutions of Yekaterinburg from among citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan and compatriots living in the regions of the Ural Federal District of Russia.
