Meeting with a new Head of the World Health Organization Country Office in Tajikistan

On February 4, 2016 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidi met with a new Head of the WHO Country Office in Tajikistan Mr. Igor Pokanevych.

During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the WHO, joint achievements in the health sector, the implementation of the future health projects, including such as the prevention of infectious diseases and the provision of medical and sanitary services.

During the meeting, the newly appointed Head of the WHO Country Office in Tajikistan has officially presented the copy of his credentials to the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
