Meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service

On February 15, 2016 in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov has met with the Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmidt.

Having discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation, the sides also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan.

The parties highly assessed the cooperation of Tajikistan with the European Union and discussed the next meeting of the Cooperation Council between the EU and Tajikistan, which is scheduled on February 16, 2016. It should be noted that the meeting of the Cooperation Council will be chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Bert Koenders. Tajik delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Aslov.
