Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Fifth Extraordinary OIC Summit

On 7 March 2016, in Jakarta, the Fifth Extraordinary OIC Summit on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif was held. The Head of Tajikistan delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjidin Aslov, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has delivered a speech and extended a stance of Tajikistan regarding the topic of the Summit.

In his speech the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has supported efforts of the Government and the people of Palestine to achieve international recognition and called upon peaceful settlement of existing disputes based on the norms of international law.  

At the end of the Summit the Declaration and Resolution of Jakarta on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif were adopted. Within the framework of the Summit a bilateral meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan H.E. Sirodjidin Aslov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia H.E. Dato' Sri Anifah Hj. Aman was held.

The parties have discussed a various fields of bilateral cooperation and touched upon the process of implementation of agreements concluded during the high and highest level visits. The two ministers have also exchanged their views on strengthening cooperation within the framework of the UN and other international and regional organizations.
