Bilateral relations of Tajikistan with Estonia
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Estonia were established on February 23, 2006.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Estonia (with residence in Minsk) is Bahtovar Safarzoda. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Astana) is Toomas Tiers.
Political cooperation (exchange of the visits). On February 13, 2009, the visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Estonia stimulated the elevation of relations to a qualitatively new level.
On January 12, 2012, during an official visit to Tajikistan, the Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
On may 16, 2019, first round of political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Estonia took place in Dushanbe.
The Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Estonia use political consultations as important tools to strengthen inclusive relations.
Economic and trade cooperation. According to the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for January-November 2023, foreign trade turnover with Estonia amounted to 783,3 thousand US dollars.
Of the total turnover, exports to Estonia were not observed. Imports from Estonia amounted to 783,3 thousand US dollars, that is, 100%.
