Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Meeting of the High Level Panel on Water

On 21 April 2016 at the UN premises in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjidin Aslov has participated at the Meeting of the High Level Panel on Water, member of which is the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the meeting there have been discussed the global water agenda issues and the further steps and the role of the Panel, which was established in order to facilitate and promote the global water problems. There also have been discussed the issue of promotion of the new initiative of Tajikistan on proclamation of the International Decade “Water for Sustainable Development”.

At the end of the meeting there was distributed a press-release on behalf of the members of the Panel.

It should be noted that Mauritius, Mexico, Australia, Bangladesh, Hungary, Jordan, Netherlands, South Africa, Senegal and Tajikistan are the members of this Panel.
