Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism

On March 22, 2024, on the sidelines of the High-level Event entitled "Celebrating World Water Day 2024: Converging Efforts, Keeping the Momentum of Progress" in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism Mr. Vladimir Voronkov.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations in the fight against terrorism and extremism, regional security issues, monitoring the implementation of programs, as well as other topical issues.

The organization of joint international events within the framework of the “Dushanbe Process on Countering Terrorism and its financing” was one of the main meeting’s topics.
