Meeting of Ambassador with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia

On 24 February 2026, a meeting was held in the city of Tbilisi between the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Georgia, Mr. Ilhom Abdurahmon, and the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Mr. Shalva Papuashvili.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of bilateral interparliamentary relations, enhancing the role of parliaments in strengthening interstate relations, as well as expanding trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

The readiness to intensify cooperation between the interparliamentary friendship groups of the two countries and to develop coordinated initiatives aimed at further strengthening of bilateral interparliamentary relations was emphasized.
