Tajik-Hungarian Political Consultations

On 28 November 2016 in Budapest, Hungary in the framework of participation in the Budapest Water Summit there was held the Tajik-Hungarian political consultations under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Aslov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and H.E. Mr. Peter Sijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.

During the consultations, the parties have exchanged views on the current state and the prospects of development of bilateral relations in political, trade and economic, cultural and educational fields, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the international organizations, including the promotion of water management initiatives in the UN agenda.

The two parties have expressed readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Hungary.

In conclusion of consultations the parties have signed a Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary for 2017-2021.
