On April 11, 2017 in the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the credentials from 5 newly appointed ambassadors.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Muhammad Gul Zalmai Yunusi, the State of Kuwait Nassar Abdulrahmon Almutairi, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Loku Ketagodahe Jayanath Chandraseir Perera, the Republic of Mali Tiefing Konate and the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire Bernard Tano-Bouchue presented credentials and messages of the leaders of their countries to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulated all ambassadors on the beginning of diplomatic activity in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The head of state Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan's foreign policy is based on the principle of "open doors" and we are committed to mutual understanding, mutual respect and equality within the framework of this principle, we take consistent measures to promote friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with all friendly and benevolent countries of the world.
Emomali Rahmon, speaking about the development of relations and multifaceted ties with all neighboring countries, the Gulf countries, Asia and the African continent, stressed that at the present stage our countries have a number of joint practical interests.
It was expressed confidence that newly appointed ambassadors of these countries will contribute to the development and expansion of multifaceted relations between countries through their fruitful diplomatic activities.
