Meeting with the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Mr. LI Yong

9 October 2017 in Vienna, Mr. Muzaffar Huseynzoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has met with Mr. Li Yong, Director General of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on the sidelines of the political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Austria.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNIDO, noting the implementation of the projects entitled “Industrial modernization and competitiveness improvement of carpet weaving, embroidery and textile sectors” and “Fostering inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in the New Silk Road Economic Belt: Leveraging potentials of industrial parks, zones and cities in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan” as good examples of such collaboration.    

Mr. Huseynzoda has called on Mr. Li Yong and his Organization to continue the already established fruitful cooperation, including in the process of implementation of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030 and the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028.
