Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross

On May 26, 2014 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov received the Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Ms. Christine Beerly, who is on the working tour to the Central Asian countries.

During the meeting the parties discussed the ICRC activities in the country and its humanitarian assistance programmes to the victims of mines, natural disasters and other emergency situations. ICRC was commended for its assistance to the families of missing persons and other vulnerable people.

ICRC vice-President thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state bodies for attention and support to the activities of ICRC in Tajikistan.

The parties also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and humanitarian assistance to the afghan people.
