Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the UN Secretary-General

On 21 September 2018 on the sidelines of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the UN Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres.

At the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan extended the greetings and the message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Mr. Emomali Rahmon to the UN Secretary General and expressed appreciation to him for supporting the country's global initiatives.  

The parties also discussed the key issues of the cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations, including the issues of security, socio-economic development of the country, regional cooperation and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular the SDGs related to water and sanitation.
