Meeting of the Foreign Minister with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

On November 12, 2014 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov held a meeting with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kentaro Sonoura.

Sides discussed the perspectives of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. They expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of development of the Tajik-Japanese relations and stressed the high level of mutual trust and partnership. Parties also emphasized the need to increase interdepartmental contacts and to expand the legal base of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan.

Japan contribution in social-economic development projects in Tajikistan and the constructive role of the country in strengthening regional cooperation was highly evaluated.

Also, a detailed exchange of views on major international and regional issues, including sustainable development of Central Asia, the situation in Afghanistan and its further economic revival promotion took place.
