Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the US Representative Steve Chabot

On November 12, 2014 a meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan Farhod Salim and US Representative Steve Chabot was held at the US Congress.

During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on the state of bilateral cooperation and also discussed issues of regional security, energy and communication projects, the fight against drug trafficking and terrorism.

Ambassador Salim expressed the need for the abolishing Jackson Vannik amendment in relation to Tajikistan as well as development of trade and economic relations.

Steve Chabot expressed hope that these issues would be followed as part of the House Committee on Foreign affair of the US House of Representatives.
