On November 16, 2014, the 46th annual NATO Charity Bazaar took place in Brussels in the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) with the participation of 41 member and partner countries of the Organization.
This year, the Republic of Tajikistan became a member of the NATO Charity Bazaar ASBL, which was founded in 1968 with the aim of raising funds to support the international charity projects. This non-profit association annually holds an event with the presentation of national and international restaurant stands of States Parties, as well as with International Tombola (draw) of national prizes.
With participation of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to NATO and support of the activists of the Tajik diaspora in Belgium and the Netherlands, the national stand of Tajikistan offered to the guests of the event a variety of traditional items of national handicraft – Tajik ornaments, souvenirs, stone ware, utensils, paintings "kundal", national women's and men's garments and accessories, flower seeds, dried fruits and pastries, as well as books and brochures about Tajikistan.
Hundreds of guests, including high-level representatives of the European Union, NATO and other international and regional organizations, ambassadors accredited in Brussels, as well as many employees of European media attended the national stand of Tajikistan.
