Webinar on "Partnership of Tajik and Turkish companies in the medical and pharmaceutical industry"

On December 10, 2021 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkey with the participation of officials from relevant ministries and departments, members of the Council for Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK), the Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkey (MUSIAD) and with the involvement of more than 50 Tajik-Turkish companies in the field of medicine and pharmaceutical industry hosted an online Webinar "Partnership of Tajik and Turkish companies in the medical and pharmaceutical industry."

The meeting was opened with welcoming speeches by the First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection G. Mukhsinzoda, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Khurshedai Qodir, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Turkey A. Gulov, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tajikistan E. Karagol, Vice- President of MUSIAD D. Altunbash, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan M. Rustamova, Chairman of the Tajik-Turkish Business Council under the Council for Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK) Jahongir Saatchioglu which informed the participants about the importance of developing cooperation in the medical and pharmaceutical industries.

The meeting was also attended by experts and members of the Medical Council under MUSIAD, the Health Council under DEIK, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and held fruitful discussions on strengthening economic cooperation in this area and the possibility of creating working groups between business associations with the participation of Tajik and Turkish companies, including in the field of healthcare and medicine, taking into account the goals of Tajikistan to create clusters and technology parks based on the experience of Turkey.
