Business forum on the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan and China

On March 11, 2022, by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the People's Republic of China and the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) held Business Forum to discuss development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Tajikistan and China.

The forum is aimed at implementing the agreements reached during the meeting of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr.Emomali Rahmon with the President of the People's Republic of China H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping on expanding economic cooperation and involving of Chinese companies to the process of accelerated industrialization of the country.

During the meeting, representatives of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies and the Tax Committee stressed the investment opportunities, legal framework and favorable conditions for business activities in the Republic of Tajikistan. Companies at the forum also presented specific projects and exchanged views participant between them.

The event, which was held online and offline, was attended by 150 participant, including Ambassador of Tajikistan to China, leadership of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, State Committee for Development and Reform of China, Secretary General of China Overseas Development Association, representatives of ministries and various companies from both side.
