Meeting of the Foreign Minister with the OSCE Secretary General

On December 3, 2015 in Belgrade, Serbia in the margins of the 22nd OSCE Ministerial Council Mr. Sirojiddin Aslov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan met with Mr. Lamberto Zannier, the OSCE Secretary General.

Zannier expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the Organization and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the country's participation in the activities of the OSCE.

During the meeting, S. Aslov called on the Organization and its institutions to render more assistance to the countries in the region in their response to modern threats to the regional security. The parties exchanged views on implementation by the Republic of Tajikistan of its obligations within the three dimensions of the Organization, as well as cooperation in the fight against terrorism, drug and arms trafficking, as well as on a number of issues of mutual interest.
