Meeting of the Minister with the Ambassador of Turkiye

On 7 February, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Umut Acar. The head of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda, also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs once again expressed Tajikistan's deep sympathy and condolences in connection with the powerful earthquake in the southeastern region of friendly Turkiye, which caused the death of many citizens and great material damage.

The willingness of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was also stated to mobilize a professional search and rescue team of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to eliminate the consequences of this earthquake, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance, consisting of the necessary primary materials.
