Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan informs that on April 26, 2023, two members of an international terrorist organization illegally crossed the state border line from the territory of Afghanistan in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to commit a terrorist act in the territory of Tajikistan

Both terrorists were neutralized by the law enforcement forces of Tajikistan, and the malicious plan of the terrorists and their patrons was thwarted.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan expresses deep concern about this illegal act of border violation and terrorism, strongly condemns it and states that the border of Tajikistan will be guarded by all forces and the law enforcement forces of the country will repel any persons or groups plotting to violate it in adequate and timely manner.
