Meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan

On May 20, 2024, in Astana on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, a bilateral meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar took place.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan began meeting with words of deep sorrow and expressed deep condolences in connection with the martyrdom of the esteemed President, Minister of Foreign Affairs and other high-level authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the helicopter crash.

“Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of Iran as an outstanding diplomat, contributed greatly to the expansion of ties between Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries. Our friend and brother with his best human and professional qualities will forever remain in our hearts. May Allah give him the best place in heaven,” said the head of the Tajik Foreign Ministry.  

Heads of foreign policy ministries discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level as well as an exchange on certain issues of the international and regional agenda was held.
