Consultations on the Afghan Issue in the Format of SCO Member States

On September 11–12, 2025, consultations on the Afghan issue were held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the Tajik side, in the format of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The participants discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the SCO region, and exchanged information on cooperation with Afghanistan to ensure security, stability, and sustainable development.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and practical cooperation to strengthen peace, stability, and sustainable development in Afghanistan and the region.
