Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

On April 3, 2014, a regular meeting of the Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in Moscow.

The meeting was attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the First Deputy Mahmudjon Sobirov. The meeting adopted the Statement of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on the upcoming presidential elections in Afghanistan, the Statement of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on the aggravation of tension in the North-West of Syria and also considered the following documents: "On Plan of Consultations between Representatives of CSTO Member States on Foreign Policy, Security and Defense in the 2nd half-year of 2014 - the 1st half-year of 2015" , "On Approval of the List of Joint Statements-2014", " On the statute of Organization of joint advertising and exhibition activities in the sphere of military-economic cooperation among the CSTO Member States" and a number of other organizational and procedural matters .

The meeting also discussed issues concerning the situation in the responsibility zone of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and neighboring regions, as well as improving foreign policy coordination and cooperation in the field of information.
