On September 19, 2019 in Warsaw, at the working session of the OSCE Meeting on the Implementation of Human Dimension Commitments on Fundamental Freedoms, including freedom of thought, conscience, religion and belief, Advisor to the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdullo Rakhnamo made a speech.
In his speech, he noted that the Republic of Tajikistan is currently fulfilling all international obligations on freedom of conscience and religion, and the laws of the country provide equal opportunities for the establishment of religious associations for representatives of all religions and movements. At the same time, Abdullo Rakhnamo emphasized that restricting the activities of extremist religious movements or prohibiting the activities of terrorist organizations cannot be considered as a restriction of the religious rights of citizens, since they are not religious associations.
