Remarks of the Tajik delegation at a working session on the rule of law at the OSCE Meeting

On September 23, 2019 in Warsaw, at the working session of the OSCE Meeting on the Implementation of Human Dimension Commitments dedicated to the rule of law, including the independence of the courts, the democratic adoption of laws, the Head of the Tajik delegation, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Legal Issues Zarif Alizoda made a speech.

He mentioned the independence of the judiciary in Tajikistan, as well as briefed the participants about the main points of the adopted Program of judicial reform in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019-2021.

Zarif Alizoda also noted that in Tajikistan state bodies provide guarantees for the independence of advocacy, finance the activities of lawyers that provide free legal assistance. For this purpose, the Concept of providing free legal aid in the Republic of Tajikistan was approved.

To familiarize the public with the existing legislation, the Government provided open access to the Internet portal with legal information.
