On 20 October 2014 in Luxembourg the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov met with the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Wilhelm Molterer.
Having discussed the current state and prospects of the development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Investment Bank, the sides agreed to continue cooperation with the aim to develop and implement joint projects in the priority fields of the economy of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that cooperation between Tajikistan and European Investment Bank takes its origin with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Bank Philippe Maystadt in 2009.
