Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with NATO Deputy Secretary-General

On October 21, 2014 in Brussels the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov met with the Deputy Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Alexander Vershbow.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of the development of Tajikistan-NATO bilateral cooperation and the interaction within the framework of the Program Partnership for Peace, in which Tajikistan participates starting from 2002.

The two sides also exchanged views on the issues of regional and international agenda, such as the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, the situation in Afghanistan and prospects of development of the country after the withdrawal of international troops.
