Participation of the Minister at the 2nd meeting of Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries in the 6 + 1 format with the participation of the Russian Federation

The 2nd Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan in the 6 + 1 format was held on October 27, 2021in Tehran, with the participation of the Russian Federation.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin take part and addressed the Meeting.

Sirojiddin Muhriddin stressed that the current difficult situation in Afghanistan requires, especially from immediate neighbors, more efforts to restore peace and stability in this country.

According to statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the complicated situation in this country has become one of the most acute problems not only for the Afghan people, but also for regional and global community

It was noted that Tajikistan firmly condemns all forms of lawlessness, murder, robbery and persecution of the Afghan people.

Tajikistan cannot remain indifferent in these difficult days for Afghanistan, when all Afghan people are on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan stressed that, Tajikistan has always supported the restoration of lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and remains committed to this position.

Concern was expressed over the situation in the Panjshir province, as well as the lack of democratic foundations, the violation of human rights, in particular the women rights.

It was pointed out that Tajikistan only supports the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all social and ethnopolitical forces of the Afghanistan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan once again urged the international community to take immediate measures to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan and to stabilize the difficult political and security situation through negotiations.
