Meeting of the Ambassador with the President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey

On February 1, 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkey Ashrafjon Gulov met with the President of KOSGEB Hassan Basri Kurt at the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey (KOSGEB).

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation and further steps to implement the agreements reached at the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkey on economic cooperation, in particular on the establishment of a Joint Investment Fund to finance projects of small and medium-sized businesses of the two countries in Tajikistan.

It was noted that given the great importance of industry in the further development of the economy of Tajikistan, as well as the achievement of national strategic goals, including the accelerated industrialization of the country in the Message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation H.E. Emomali Rahmon "On the main directions of the internal and foreign policy of the republic" 2022- 2026 has been declared as the "Years of Industrial Development".

The parties agreed to develop an Action Plan based on the Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Committee on investment and state property management of the Republic of Tajikistan and KOSGEB, signed in the framework of 11th meeting of the Tajik-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and to give a special impetus to interactions on the creation of a Joint Investment fund.
