Celebration of Navruz in Doha and presentation of international initiatives of our country in the field of water and climate

On March 20, 2022 in Doha, on the occasion of the International Day of Navruz and the Second High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028, a cultural event were organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by Tajiks residing in Qatar, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Doha, the diaspora from Afghanistan and Iran, representatives of Qatari officials and media.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar, Mr. Khisrav Sohibzoda, presented a congratulatory message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon.

Referring to the leading role of our country in solving global issues, in particular issues related to water resources and prevention of catastrophic consequences of climate change, the Ambassador of Tajikistan outlined the goals and global significance of the Second High-Level International Conference on International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028, which will be held on June 6-9, 2022 in Dushanbe.

At the event, the Embassy also presented documentaries on the development of cultural, socio-economic life and historical achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan over the years of independence.
